so a couple lessons back we designed ten questions to ask potential target audiences for our film opening. These questions were
Do you enjoy watching crime or thriller movies? If yes why?
Name four of your favourite crime thriller movies?
What do you like about these films?
Are there any particular cliches in crime thrillers that you like, and wouldn't mind seeing in other films?
Are there any particular actors that you like that have been in crime thrillers?
What has been your favourite plot twist in a crime thriller that you have seen?
What sort of setting do you enjoy seeing in a film?
What music/score do you like in a film of this genre? Why?
What kind of movie opening would grab your attention?
Do you enjoy being shocked by the plot of a film or being able to figure out the plot of the film before the hero of the film?
I really found it interesting to help come up with these. It was kind of like trying to look into another persons head to see what makes them tick.
